Preciz.: a website you trust before the bonnet is even open

An independent garage does not have its biggest rival in the workshop round the corner, but in the customer’s fear of the bill. We built a site that takes that fear on in every section: the price up front, the fault explained in plain words, a date that holds. And one button that keeps coming back — call.

Preciz. is a fictional garage. We created it to demonstrate a conversion website for a local business — treated from positioning to the last pixel exactly like a paying commission. The phone number on the site is deliberately made up.

01 — The problem

People pick a garage with their gut

Nobody can judge whether a mechanic fitted the brake pads properly. So the customer does not choose on the quality of work they cannot see, but on whether they trust the firm — and that trust is now born on the website, before anyone picks up the phone. Most local garages meanwhile either have no site at all or a ten-year-old card with a photo of the building. Whoever looks credible at that moment and says plainly what it will cost wins the job without discounting a single koruna.

02 — The decision

One page. One action. Call.

A conversion website is not about everything that is on it, but about everything that is not. No blog, no slider, no “welcome to our website”. One page a visitor gets through in a minute — and every section ends on the same action: the phone. On mobile, where most customers call from, the Call button stays pinned by the thumb for the whole scroll.

The opening of the Preciz. site: the headline We fix exactly what needs fixing. Not a koruna more.

The second decision is the language. Garages like to write “a professional approach” and “a long tradition” about themselves — words that say nothing and that the customer skips. Preciz. talks instead about what actually worries them: “We fix exactly what needs fixing. Not a koruna more.” Every service is rewritten from a procedure into a benefit — not “brake pad replacement”, but “brakes that bite in the wet and with a full car”.

03 — The solution

Hard typography, no soft promises

Visually the site borrows the language of the workshop: technical typography, a grid of services with job numbers as if lifted from a rate card, no rounded marketing bubbles. Six services, four reasons, opening hours in a table and a form for those who would rather not call. There is exactly one photograph — the real interior of the workshop across the full height of the opening, because one true photo builds more trust than a gallery of twenty.

Technically it is a static page: no database, no server, nothing that can break or load slowly. The site opens instantly even on a phone in a car park — exactly where somebody with a car that will not start decides who to ring.

One thing is missing on purpose: reviews. An invented quote from a happy customer is the cheapest piece of trust available and also the most brittle — one visitor checking it is enough for the firm to lose everything the page had built. So instead of stars, Preciz. says only what it can defend: the trust of local customers is the only advertising worth having. When real reviews arrive, the page already has a place ready for them.

04 — How it is measured

A website you recognise by the ringing phone

Every section ends on the same action

The opening, the services, the reasons, the contact block and the footer — everywhere the next step leads to the phone or to an enquiry. The visitor is never more than one tap away from the action the site exists for. That is not an aesthetic decision; that is the whole of its job.

We do not measure a conversion website by impressions but by calls and enquiries — and because Preciz. is a fictional brand, we are not going to invent any figures. What can be measured: the page is static, light and opens practically instantly, holds full contrast and works with a screen reader and without JavaScript. For a local business, speed is conversion factor number one — whoever is left waiting for a page to load calls the competition.
